11:35 pm - Hello (:
Hi everyone! I'm new to this community (& Wellington) & I'm Tracy ^^
Just a bit about myself, I'm a Singaporean living in Wellington & I migrated in October.
I'll be entering as a Year 10-er this year!
Just wondering if there will any problems for me, because Im an Asian (?)
My friend in Canada got some discrimination at her school because she's Asian :\
I'm just afraid that something bad might happen to me.
I'm also taking History, Drama, Enterprise & Economics (: Oh, & NCEA Level 1 Math ^^
If anyone's entering as the same year as me this year, I hope we can be friends ^^

Oh, my purpose of this entry... Well, can someone assure that I wont die in school? D: Im afraid of not coping well & not making friends :(
& Im not sure of what happens in the school. xD Like, events & stuff.
Haha, sorry if Im asking for too much.

See you around in school~ ^^

12:41 pm - A poll of sorts!
1) What do you like about Vespa and/or Trouser?
2) What don't you like about them?
3) What would/wouldn't you like to see in a WGC student-run magazine?

10:15 pm - This community! It LIVES!
Hot news of the day: Dearest darlingest principal Marg McLeod is leaving.

Fond memories? First reactions? Glad she at least didn't get up there to tell us she was pregnant?

Discuss.

does anyone have an Olympus FE 110? Or even a FE 100? Can you give me a review if you do?
I'm planning to get the 'rents to get me one for my birthday (4 days!!) and yeha. I don't want a shit camera. But it's cheap, so that's mainly the reason I want it.
It's got 5 mp, 2.8 optical zoom, 11 x seamless zoom... ehhh evereything I want.
ANYWAY.
Please review for me.

I was wondering if I could get some trite rhyming poetry? The userinfo does say ask after all, and I am extremely bored in Careers.

Tell me people.
If we are getting awards at prize giving what time do we need to be at the Town Hall for the practice? Surely someone knows.

Also, who wants control of maintaining this community as I am leaving the school (unless I fail everything which is less likely than you may think)? I will stay and comment but I don't think I can keep the community if I don't go to the school anymore.

Also, good luck with exams those who have them left.

04:23 pm - exams.
To all non-7th formers:

If you're going to university after 7th form, your 6th form exams are REALLY important. More so than 7th form exams in fact. Why? Because universities look at yout 6th form results for hostels, and scholarships, because you haven't even sat your 7th form exams when you start applying for those things. You only need 7th form exams to get the credits to get into university. But if you want to get scholarships and get into good hostels etc, do really well in your 6th form exams.

I'm telling you guys this because I wish someone had told me this last year before my 6th form exams.

5th, 6th and 7th formers: good luck for your exams!

PS sorry if it makes anyone really stressed :(

04:46 pm - Hello, merry maidens
Well, not so merry I suppose because of impending doom in the form of exams.

Anyhoo, two questions, more for the Year 13s (or other seniors if we've got them):

1) What's Year 10 Technology (and Careers?) Week all about? Was it fun? Do you get to wear mufti all week? Is making jewellery with Mrs. Brady lame?

2) Did I win the Spirit Week photography contest or something? Someone was asking me if I had coz she heard my name in senior assembly and I'm the only Caryl she knows and I was just like "what? did I?"
